Imogen, teaches Violin and Viola at York Music Centre as well as teaching privately and in primary and secondary schools. As well as a Master of Arts degree in Music Performance, Imogen as a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Education: Instrumental and Vocal teaching. She believes strongly that music is something that can be enjoyed by everyone. Her teaching is focused on learning as well as enjoyment. She incorporates Kodaly and Suzuki pedagogies into her teaching, for example, by including singing games and rhythms with younger pupils, and music theory and memory with older students, to develop well-rounded musicians.
