Jake is a composer, guitarist, gamelan player, researcher and teacher based in York. He has worked as a peripatetic music teacher since 2016, teaching guitar (classical, electric and acoustic), bass guitar, ukulele, music theory and composition/song writing. Jake frequently performs and collaborates to create new music for the guitar, whilst his own music is frequently performed by a range of international artists. Outside of his teaching, Jake is the director of The Arc Project (a new music initiative based in the north of England) and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of York, where he is researching approaches to cross-cultural composition.
